I usually buy tall and cut bamboo cane to size and let plant droop. Got a 4ft ficus marked at £20. Asked if there were any more. Sales assistant said because it was the last he would give me it for £10. Went to get price sticker and came back with one for £7.

Place plastic over the soil, so the water doesn't get into the pot. Also stops from having the need of rocks over the soil.
