Finally got him to drink by hand!!!!!!!!

So its been all joy and celebrations here at home. We finally got Helmut (1 year old male veiled) to drink water from "my hand". He has been drinking from my home-made dripper but this was different. I had the front of his terrarium open and was standing right in front of him holding a branch with one hand aiming a leaf at his mouth and dripping water form above with the other hand and he was lapping it up! Helmut is a rescue and is cantankerous to say the least, so this is huge progress. Hope the video works out - it was taken from an android cellphone.

Been trying to get my male veiled to drink from the mist bottle by dripping it but he won't have anything to do with it lol

I know exactly what you mean! It takes a lot of patience and you have to be consistent by doing the same thing over and over. Eventually they will come around but it will be on their terms so don't expect anything to happen quickly. If I could get my feisty veiled to do this, then anyone can get their cham to do it.

i have a long plastic dropper and my panther will come up to the screen and take water from it . that took awhile
