After about a month, I FINALLY had a manduca moth emerge. It was huge and awesome, and Chloe just ate it lol!

I gave it a day and finally took a chance and put it in her cage. It took her a while to get it down but she would not let it go.

With a bit of moth fuzz left on her lip....

Another myth proven to be questionable: "Only feed your chameleon insects that are no bigger than the distance between your chameleons eyes!"

CHEERS!

Soft bodied bugs would be the easy challenge to the advice, but it is a general rule for newer keepers to go by. No "rule" is absolute :D. I for one think it is a good idea to question them once you have experience and knowledge!

She loved it but I have to say it made me very nervous and I probably won't give her another one again! She got so excited when she first saw it tho, it was very cool. She's a beast! Lol. I love her face in that last pic too:love:

I totally agree with the initial rule of thumb for newbies, or anyone really. Soft bodied yes, however even with this moth (considering wing span) it was very big and I'm hesitant to feed her another one. She loved it and would not let it go, but I'd feel more comfortable waiting until she's a little older/bigger to feed her another one!
