Finding Arcadia T5 Pro Kit

I am about to redo a lighting for one whole row of my cages, so I need 4 x 4' dual fixtures to do what I want. I have tried waiting until these come out, but I am a chronic "Test it before you buy several" kind of guy, so I don't think I have time before going on a Florida vacation in April to wait for these to be available and do my normal testing.
I think I am going to go with a cheaper T5 HO fixture option, and I have access to the 4' Arcadia bulbs at around $27 each. Pairing them with 6500k daylight bulbs in the other slot is my plan, in addition to basking spots.
If I could wait, I would give these a shot, but sadly it just isn't going to work out for my timeline.

Yeah, I hear ya. I also usually wait until things have a track record before purchasing but I’m in a position now that I need to buy something in the next week or two. With the recent controversy about sunblasters reflectors, Arcadia’s reputation and these units price point I’d really love to find some and give them a shot.

Ughhhh, can you please share this "access" you have for the 4' bulbs? I would really like to know where you're getting a deal like that. Hook a brother up!

The issue with Sunblaster reflectors was a not very widespread QC issue.
The Mylar the reflector is made of, will only reflect light (not just UV) on one side of it. If it is installed correctly then there is no problems.
The issue, happened to a few sunblasters, however it can and may happen to any mylar reflector fixture. That includes Arcadias, so it's best to verify it is installed the right way round on any of the Mylar fixtures.
With the Sunblaster this is easy, as they add a lacquer coating. So you can visualize the correct side, it will appear painted or have an orange peel effect.
With Arcadia and alot of the others, you can scratch a small area, that won't have much effect. If the silver color comes off due to the scratching, it's the correct way around.
If you have a solar meter you can use that.
If the Mylar is backwards the fix is easy. Take the Reflector off, slide out the Mylar and put it back in the right way around.

I just ordered six of the 46" from Todd on Saturday. I believe he still has some in stock. If not, I'm positive he's got more on the way.
