Finished my enclosure for our first panther chameleon

Yea ik it messed Columbia Charleston and mertle beach up pretty good didn't really bother us in the up state tho
True, however it did hit my Brother in Titusville. Luckily they were safe during the whole thing. But it did a good number on the area.

How did you handle drainage?
Here is a simple way to handle drainage. Thank to this Forum this really help me out . It was like applying flooring to tacked down with Contact cement brush on the wood surface and pond liner ,let it tack up. Once it's applied it's strong hold ,take your time .Stretch the material ,seam up the sides .
Here is a example with drainage and all . If it floods no worries ,if misting goes faulty it just drains completely.Twin drains to a single Outlet.
Pond Liner ,Pool Liner (y)

thank you I've been trying to figure out away with out a tray this is just what I was looking for

How many of the sides are ventilated? I can't tell from the pics provided. Looks like a pretty nice lil setup though. Good job!

If your talking about my Enclosure ,the front is a little bigger than 5feet across with two screened doors ,and the roof top will have a screen 4feet by 22" wide .
Will hold my Quad T5 HO UV full spectrum lights from Todd @ lightyourreptiles.
Here it is waiting for front doors .When finished will post completed Project .

So we finished building the enclosure and we're just waiting for our panther chameleon that we ordered from canvas chameleons to arrive tomorrow. So please tell me how you think we did for our first time. We are first time chameleon owners. We washed everything we put in there. The bottom is free of substrate. I have 1 basking bulb and 2 horizontal light fixtures 1 UVB and 1 Plant grow. We have a golden Pothos and another ivy (I forget the name of it, but we made sure it was okay). Right now we are watching the temps and humidity to see how they are before we get him tomorrow so i can make adjustments if need be, but so far the temps and humidity are looking good. Basking is at about 85 and ambient is at 75. Humidity is around 40 near the basking area and 68 humidity near the ambient.

Just want to say what a wonderful build you did . Looks Beautiful.
Thumbs up .(y):)

That's exactly what I had in mind when/if I start doing the drainage when I get the automatic mister.

So he arrived yesterday and shipping and everything went well. I put him in his new home and threw some crickets in there and he immediately started hunting them which I'm assuming shows a good sign of appetite. I tried not to bother him the whole day to let him get adjusted and to not stress him out. Well we went out today and I bought him 250 crickets which I keep in a cricket keeper and some horn worms and butter worms. We haven't tried feeding him the butter worms, but he started eating the hornworms right out of our hands already. So i'm hoping this is a good sign that he's already starting to hand feed. Hoping he becomes a friendly chameleon.

It's Finally completed. Waiting for my 4 Foot Arcadia T5 Lights to arrive and another MistKing system. This is Rainbows New Castle. Very pleased with the build Conversion. Live plants and all. Great gradient shaded areas.
Worked out very well .Took me overall a little more then 2 weeks to complete.
I even got Rainbow a stocking Ho Ho! for some treats :).
Merry Christmas to all Chameleon Forum Members .
Happy Holidays Be Safe .

Beautifully done. I'd love to be able to do the same. What type of paint and what are you waterproofing the wood with?

I just used paint from Home Depot just make sure it's not oil based if you paint the inside.Than I used a water based outdoor deck water sealant and went over the inside with ge clear silicone 1
