First ball python

Here he is!!!
He's super shy, so please excuse the terrible photos. This is the first time I've had him out in the week and a half I've had him. Next time I promise the pics will be better.

He's a bit more friendly in his cage.

gorgeous. I love the pure white with the brown. I saw a python with similar coloring at a show and almost bought my first snake.

OMG he is beautiful! I have never seen this color before! Maybe I will get one. Reminds me of a piebald horse lol never knew there were piebald snakes! maybe there will be piebald chams lol. Not just trans morphs.

I saw them at a show for the first time a while back and knew I had to have one. It just took me forever to save up for one!

Very nice piebald. Where and how much did you get him?

Thanks! He was $800 shipped. They only way I justified the price was telling myself I'm going to breed him to a super pastel and sell the babies.

wow nice snake, howd you get a piebald for your first ball?! :D

Lol, I waited and saved and then waited and saved some more. It was sooo tempting just to give in and buy a pastel or something but I held out!

thats a good price...back in the day, when they first came out they were like $17,000.......

It took me forever to find an animal with decent white for under $1000. And I can't believe how much they were when they first came out, I'm so glad the price has come down a bit. :p

haha tell me about it, im hoping to get two mojaves and then breed em to get some super mojaves, but thats a BIG dream lol, anyways good luck with the pied, maybe try getting a pastel, breed them together then getting a double het for pied and pastel, then breeding two siblings together and getting a pastel pied = LOTS OF MONEY! and a gorgeous animal! im gettin carried away, but anyways good luck!

whats funny is, when the pied's first started coming in, they were killed because people thought they had a skin fungus.

Great minds think alike!!! I'm looking at a super pastel female right now to raise up and breed (just waiting on an updated picture of her). I'm hoping (in a couple generations) for a super pastel pied. It's kind of my own little project, and I'll just sell the extra babies.

eh, piebalds are things of the past, i'm saving up for a tristripe or a mystic potion.
ya kno, the 30,000 dollar ones.

a super pastel pied would be NICE! hope it works out

Just a quick update, I found a female for him!!! It's going to be quite a while before they breed (she's just a baby), but this is just a pet project for me. I only have room for a couple snakes so she and my pied are it for now.
She's just a baby, but here's the breeder's picture.

the piebald is incredible and so is the female. what a steal at 800 for him hes really nice looking. im really looking forward to seeing how this pairing turns out, especially with that super bright female.

Both very attractive animals, but I'm really blown away by the patterns on the female. I have not been keeping track of ball python color morphs, and apparently a lot has been going on there...

a lot is not the word to describe how many there are.
