Hi guys I'm mostly posting to introduce myself & rosy, my first chameleon. I know petco isn't the place to purchase animals of any kind but she seems to be in very good health & had been with them for 4 months. Shes about 6-7 months old guessing from how long shes been there & how big they said she was when she arrived. She drank & ate right in front of me from day one. Shes been here 4 days & is starting to explore her enclosure more & more. (An 18x18x30) I know I will have to upgrade this cage sooner than I imagined because I thought I'd get a baby. But it seems to be perfect for her right now considering the one she came from. Shes poohed for the first time today & all looks normal. I was getting worried but that was a relief! I've already got her a laying bin to set up when the time comes. I thought I would get a boy but im so glad I found her. She's so cute & sweet. Shes growing on us all. Even the husband said shes your responsibility & now everytime she slightly changes color hes googling to find out what's wrong lol anyway I just wanted to say hello & introduce rosy. I'm glad I found this place during the research faze & I know I'll be back if (when) I need advice.

Welcome to the forums and chameleon ownership. Rosey is very pretty and looks to be in pretty nice shape. The only thing I see(and it might just be the pic) is her right front leg looks a little misshapen. If you could post some other pics of her front limbs that would be great to just make sure she doesn't have anything going on.

Another...These are all I have as of now I haven't wanted to disturb her too much.. If these don't help I'll try to get some tomorrow

From what I can tell her legs look good. Chameleons can be prone to Metabolic bone disease when not provided calcium, uvb or a combination of both and I was just making sure she did not have it. Do you know about supplementing? Have you checked out the panther caresheet on here? It will tell you just about everything you need to do and buy to keep her happy and healthy. If you have not found it, you can go to the navigation box on the left and then click on Care Resources, then caresheets and then one for panthers. Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Lots of great people on here with loads of experience and knowledge.

I have taken all my notes from here lol I don't know if she was given calcium before but im guessing yes since she seems to be very healthy. I have made a routine of calcium every day & calcium with d3 2x a month & multivitamin 2x a month.. does that sound good?

Also how much/how often should I be feeding her? She's had about 4-5 crickets each day since I got her... & a few superworms
