  • Your Chameleon - Vield , male, I don’t know the age. 5 days
  • Handling - Once to place him in enclosure
  • Feeding - Dubias or crickets. 8-10. Everyday. With fresh veggies and fruits. I also give him fresh kale
  • Supplements - I use zoo med calcium without d3 and calcium with d3 and for vitamins I use rep-cal hertivite. I only had him for 5 days so he has only gotten calcium without d3 so far.
  • Watering - I use a exo terra rs400. As of now he gets misted every 3 hours for 3min. No I don’t see him drinking
  • Fecal Description - Brown with white in it. He has a visit this week to get tested for parasites.
  • History - The last owner had him in a very small cage with coco fiber in the bottom of it. Not enough plants, had a coil uvb bulb. Don’t know if he was getting any calcium or not.

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - home made all screen. 3’x3’x6’
  • Lighting - reptisun t8(temp) uvb 10.0, reptisun heat bulb 75w. Everyday 12hrs on 12hrs off
  • Temperature - Cage floor is at 75 basking spot is 86-88. 68-72. Thermometer/humidity reader and a temp gun
  • Humidity - 60-70. Misting machine and live plants. Humidity meter
  • Plants - Yes. Golden pothos and large money tree
  • Placement - a room where I grow other liver plants. He is not near any vents or fans and I’m the only one that goes in this room. 6’
  • Location - Massachusetts

Current Problem - He refuse to eat I have tried roaches and crickets also kale. He has eaten my plants though. What can I do to get him to eat?

He needs time to adjust. Most chameleons won’t eat a lot when they just got thrown into a new environment. Don’t worry so much about him not eating. Like most reptiles, they can go a long time without him eating. Just give him awhile to adjust.
