IDK about 3/4 months ago lol I'm just being funny so there is really no such thing as taming a chameleon. Most chameleons will only tolerate your presence but will most likely Never seek it...so this is wat u do put your chameleon in it's enclosure and don't touch it leave it for a week or so to adjust only opening the enclosure to add feeders after a week or so start working in it's cage (cleaning and what ever) and avoid eye contact best u can. the point in this is to get your chameleon used to your presence you then need to try hand feeding. Your Cham may take right to this if not keep trying ever day eventually he will take to it and this is when trust starts being built ..next you will want to start leaving the door open on his enclosure eventually he will come out sometime almost immediately.then you can allow him to step on u by placing your hand under him and holding perfectly still remember no eye contact....never ever go in his cage after him it makes him feel like pray he needs to view u as a harmless tree it u start getting grabby with him all the trust goes in the trash so take your time and really work on building trust everything has to be up to them don't force it. Good luck (y)

Yea there are sum similarities between standoff dogs and chameleons I suppose. However one big difference is once a dog accepts u and begins to seek your affection there is an Eternal Bond Made and no matter how crappy u may begin treating that dog the dog will always love you. a chameleon on the other hand will never seek your affection and will likely only view you one of two ways, either you are a predator or you are a harmless tree and at any point you can go from harmless tree to predator . It's very unlikely the Cham is going to change it's stance on how they feel about u once you have been labeled a predator. So remember always slow and AWAYS on there terms. luckily they seem to be more forgiving before they reach sexual maturity.
