Are they outside or inside? What species? If outside, as long as they get a chance to bask in sun to warm up each morning they may be OK. If the nights get colder than 50 I'd start bringing them indoors.

If inside, how cold does the room get?

Their indoors, and jacksons the species about 6-8months old.. Its been getting in the low 50s resently? Just curious cuz i resently put heat pads for my geckos nd snake..

So, just so I am clear...the room the chams are kept in is getting down to the low 50s at night, right? They should be OK as long as they get to warm up each morning. Chams need the temp drop at night and no visible light in order to rest well.

Yes that is correct, usually it will get in the mid to low 40s throughout winter.. I dont have central heating in my home but i do have those little heaters.. Lol anyways thank u 4 clearing that up..

Jackson's actually refer a lower nighttime temp in the 50's…40's at the very lowest.

So long as the temp doesn't drop below 45, you're fine. I've had mine outside when the temps are in the 70's in the daytime and dropped down into the 50's and 40 at night, with no problem.

I'm just a newbie too, but I got a ceramic heat lamp. No light, just warmth.
Gets super cold in the NE! Buy on Amazon. Much cheaper than the pet store.
