Hi these eggs took precisely one year to hatch. They were first kept at summertime temps -- as high as 77 but possibly higher as my incubator had only heating, no cooling. Then, a few months ago, I was recommended a mini-fridge incubator by Chris Anderson. There's a thread about it by Brad Ramsey titled "nice incubator" (I think). This can both heat and cool eggs SO I dropped them down to 70 for a month, then 67 for about 3 months. The hatching started the day after I opened their container and added some moisture. Not sure if the moisture or the disturbance did it, but there's still several massive eggs that have not hatched.
I'll just point out that a Hovabator is useless for species like this if your ambient temp is going above 75 during the daytime. I'm going to tack some info about the mini fridge on the above-mentioned thread when I get a chance.
These are CB babies like I already said. I have the pornomeleon photos of their conception incase anyone demands proof Mom was a wild caught juvenile I raised to maturity. I DO have 2 clutches from females recieved gravid, with mystery dads, and these are actually the most interesting to me -- free genetic diversity -- but the eggs actually look very poorly calcified and kinda wet and pink (even though moms came in pretty healthy).
One last thing if anyone is still reading. One of my females has very large horns and in other ways looks like a boy (her name is Horny). Can anyone tell me what the deal is with the variety in females that are supposedly all multituberculata?
I have one too and love it. It isn't precise on the temp (the outside will say 72 but it will be 69 inside) but way better than the hovabator (been there, done that --> FAIL)
