Well......our "little man" has been here with us a week, yesterday. I'm gonna do my best to keep a weekly update with new pictures. The sun actually got out from behind the clouds for the first time since his arrival and I took him out to get a few........rays. This was also my first time handling him since his arrival.......he didn't seem to mind a bit.

Thanks everybody.... :D

I've been a little concerned with his "eating and drinking" habits. I have never actually seen him drink, and I had to tape all the corner holes over inside my cage because the crickets were escaping up inside the aluminum pieces that make up the frame. He doesn't seem to be a "ravenous" eater, but he just kinda picks them off throughout the day. I've been feeding him about a dozen or so 1/4" crickets around noon and he slowly picks them off at his own pace.

He actually has a little red underneath his neck........and one little spot of a greenish/blue back by his shoulder. It is kinda hard to see in the pictures, but it is there. He seemed to like the sunshine.......and I'm gonna try and get him outside some up through the weekend. Its supposed to warm up into the low 80's.

Cool. I bet next time you take him out he'll eat from your hand........ have you only used crickets? fruit flies are fun, and they will stay in the cage if you leave a piece of fruit in there. Might get him doing some more active hunting. Don't worry too much about how much he's eating and drinking for now though, as long as he is eating and his urate shows white there is no problem.

Flash's Photo Update

Well..........the weather wouldn't allow me to take any photo's last week. It has been almost two weeks since I posted last. He shed a week ago today without any problem at all..........he just shimmied right on outa his old skin. I am starting to see a little hint of color in him, it should only get better from here. Waiting on a shed is kinda like opening a Christmas present........or maybe like "a box of chocolates".........LOL.......At any rate........here are a few that I took this afternoon.

A couple more...........he was "shooting" at something. I never did see anything, but the wind was blowing and apparently he thought he saw something edible.

This is as close as I can get and not loose any resolution with this camera.

Wow!! 20 days later and he is way bigger! Growing like a little weed:D Its a shame about the weather, huh? Going to just keep getting worse:mad:

Thanks.....I really appreciate the compliments. :D

I just noticed something on the third picture down that I posted. He has what looks like black rings around his eye.......what's up with that ??? Hopefully it's normal.........

It seems like he has grown......BUT.......I see him every day. ;) One more shed will reveal MORE........of what's to come. :D

Yeah, the weather will only get colder and for longer durations from here on out. That means it's time for one of my most favorite outdoor activities. :)

The freezer needs some venison.......and I've been "itchin" to get out. We just haven't had time to do much lately. That'll change starting next week, I don't get to excited until after the first of November. Them dang skeeters love my type blood........apparently.

Perhaps I should have titled this the "bi-weekly" photo update thread. I just don't like taking pictures indoors, but may be forced to with the colder weather knocking on our door.

Anyways.........here are a few pics that I took today. It was an absolutely beautiful day to get some "rays". Flash went through another shed yesterday and still has a little of the skin hanging onto his feet, but each and every shed I can notice more color coming through.

Here he is in his "new suit".
