So I have read many posts by folks considering the use of flies as feeders, well we are here to say we love them. Super easy, and fun. My wife has a strong no escaped feeders in the house policy, so I was worried about loose flies, until I started hatching them right inside of the enclosure. Grace or female Jackson, has plenty of room that we could set up the hatchery down low and let them free in her enclosure. It has started to work out very nicely, especially on those longer weekend s away from home. They provide a good free range food source for the need to hunt, they do not fight back, no real mess or noise late at nite. Just have to get the timing of the hatches correct, and things are smooth. We also cup feed crickets and Dubia, but these are the the meals on wheels she loves.
ps can someone please teach me how to get the photos to post in correct orientation?
