I just fed my veiled his first hornworm...omg, he LOVED it. I hear that they are very fatty, so they should only be fed as a treat (much like wax worms). However, because they are so juicy, they are great to avoid dehydration.

Silk worms can also be a "treat" but you can use small pieces of strawberry for a veiled, and even some greens like kale, lettuce, etc. Rather than mealworms you should try superworms. they are a bit better for them.

You would be better off putting them in a cooler with some ice packs on the other side of the space. I have had little success with feeders in the fridge, but others have done so.

My Cham LOVES Superworms and they seem like they last forever. I just keep them in a drawer, I don't think they are ones that are recommended to be kept in the fridge.

Can I refrigerate any worms? or foods? if so what ones?
I order blue bottle fly pupae from a site sponsor and put them in the fridge so it slows down how fast they come out of their shell/cocoon. My Merlin LOVES flies though and they are a fun treat that he enjoys chasing around and I enjoy watching him do so too.
