Food dish??

Hey everyone, I've got a few questions about food dishes. My guy eats out of a food dish that I have secured to the side of his cage with a little piece of wire. I don't like it very much because it's difficult to remove and clean. His cage is mesh and I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips on what I could do. I've thought about getting a little metal dish and then using a magnet on the outside to secure it. My only worry is that the magnet might be bad for my chameleon or for his food?? Not sure if that's a thing?

Any thoughts would be awesome!

Thanks

Why people might use metal I never do. Get yourself a good plastic one. I just hot glue on magnet on the dish and then another piece of metal ore another magnet for the outside. works for all mine . easy to remove easy to clean

Is hot Glue non-toxic. I use it on a lot of my sticks. I find it easier just to throw away plastic bowl then it is to pay for those metal one. I'm sure other people give you advice that what they use(y)

Hot glue is non toxic, most of them say it. Only put it in after it dries though. Plastic ones are also easier to drill holes in the bottom so it drains.

I've used the feeders tied to the screen but I'm not happy about it, my chams just don't seem to get it...
I have now got a modified disposable plastic soupbowl and my chams (well atleast my panther) seem to understand that way better... I place it just under his basking spot so he's looking in it when basking.

I use a half gallon milk just that I cut the front off of. I used a paperclip to make a hook to get it in and out easily, roughed up the inside so that the dubia can climb it. Works great.

I would not use metal if you know what I mean. Just get a plastic one. I use something similar to a good dish and (this is not very important) put it at the bottom so that my chameleon gets used to climbing all around the cage.

I would generally advise to put the feeder cup up higher in the enclosure, that is where most chameleons will spend the majority of their time. I have mine placed almost half way up in the enclosure.

I heard stuff like this after I've had mine in there, however, my girl seems to enjoy climbing down to snack on worms (won't touch superworns after one scared her) and climbing back up. Should I still mount it higher?

If she is using it I'd leave it where it is. There's no harm having it lower, but some don't make it down low often.
