Food is out?

Nothing alive should really be shipped Fed Ex....that's sort of a violation of their terms of use. **sigh**

Meanwhile, the oft maligned Post Office still considers Saturday a work day and happily delivers any sort of package (priority, express, regular 1st class) on Saturdays without an extra charge.

Scully, obviously this was a learning experience for you.

I have the good fortune to have many possible sources for feeders within easy (under 20 minutes) driving distance. However, I always buy new before feeding the last of my "old"...in fact, I tend to have a "you're free!" release of the feeders who survived to see another group of feeders bought. But...that ritual happens when I've brought the new feeders home! I might still need the old ones.

Normally I'm right on it but the timing of that order was off. and I'm Skully;)

Eliza said..."I always buy new before feeding the last of my "old""....exactly what I was getting at. If you keep ahead of the game you shouldn't run out and it gives you more time to feed the insects a nutritious diet and gutload them!

I completely agree with Kinyonga, Always look toward the future!!! However, all this fretting about not being able to provide a reptile with food for a few days is quite funny! Its a reptile!!! Give them plenty of water and they will be fine. Over feeding animals and thinking they should be spoiled with food because humans take pleasure in spoiling themselves is obsurd. Your animals will be fine without food for a few days if they are healthy and well established.

OK...this thread was suppose to be done when I went and got food. Its over and people are still pointing things out??

Yes a couple of the people who have offered advice, (D Gray, Cain) after you feel the issue is over are offering information you need to be aware of should this happen again. Just tell them thanks, learn form them and go on.

And, remember, other people will read this when they first start with chameleons. Just as we all looked at lots of threads before ever posting.

Additional thoughts and ideas might not be directed at you, but to owners in general.
