Food

ok. some where i read that you. an feed your chameleons fruits and veggies as well.
It is not recommended to give them a diet of fruit and veg. They do not digest it the same. Veileds are known to munch on plants but they are insectivores. Some will put Dandelion greens from the store in with their Veileds to give them something else to munch on rather then their plants. But their diet is insect based.

They should’ve fed commercially bred insects- nothing from outside. Feed the insects fresh fruits and veggies but avoid a lot of banana and oranges. Stick with berries and leafy greens. You can also get bug burger or roach and cricket nutrient dense feed. Also make sure to dust your feeders with the right vitamins and calcium dust and stick to the schedule. This will really help their color, overall health and will avoid health problems such as MBD and adema. The chameleon breeder podcast app has some great talks about proper nutrition and I have noticed a huge difference in my chameleons’ health and color since making a few recommended changes.
