I am going to be moving to a place in New York City with my friend and unfortunately my new place doesn't allow pets. Very sad. My chameleon is a 6 month old veiled chameleon named Remy. He is not full grown, but he's getting there.

He has been to the vet and is de-wormed and I gave him medicine to get ride of this parasite. Perfect health. He is very tame as I take him out of the cage most days and handle him for 15 minutes or so. He is ok with me scratching him on the back. He doesn't do anything to indicate he likes it but he lets me do it...

He eats kale, grapes, spinach, blueberries, strawberries, lettuce, mustard greens out of my hand. I've only fed him meal worms once. I have to do that again very soon.

He has a big screened cage with 3 chameleon safe live plants. He doesn't eat them. Everything in is cage is set up wonderfully. I have digital thermostat/hydrometers, a UVB light, and 3 UVA heat lights.

I really am fond of him. I want to find someone who can give him a good home where he can be healthy and happy. I'd prefer to give him to someone with chameleon experience (these forums might be the right place to look, hehe). Feel free to write me. I'm moving in April.

Dang, I'm real sorry you have to let him go. If I was near NY I would gladly take care of him for you. But maybe something will change and you won't have to get rid of him afterall. There's still a little bit of time from now till April. Not much but you never know...

What kind of parasites did he have?

If you do not feed him insects, he is probably not in very good health:( How long have you just fed fruit?

Where are you currently located?

He eats mainly crickets but I suppliment his diet by giving him veggies some fruit most days.

Don't know the parasites but they are all gone. I took him to an exotic vet specialist and now they are gone.

I live in Westchester New York.

His cage is quite big. I put 1 light in the middle, 1 on the left part of the cage, and one on the right.
