Force feeding veiled - need help

No substrate, just the plastic panels on the bottom that I can pull out and clean.

So for those that are curious, I took Slide to the vet this morning and she said chances are he has some type of parasite. She gave him some medication and gave me some oxbow liquid food mix. Of course he got mad at her so she had no problem putting a syringe down his threat...problem is, he doesn't get mad at me so it's much harder to get anything in his mouth but I'm not gonna give up lol. I hope he makes i through this, he's so much friendlier than Krowbar.

Hope it works! Not all parasites are killed by the same medication. Do you have to repeat the meds or just use the oxbow?

Do you need help getting his mouth open still for the oxbow? I can guide you a bit likely. Done it with a lot of rescues.

I've been able to get his mouth open with my wife's help, I've had to resort to pulling on the skin under his chin to get his mouth open but it seems to work and not hurt him

Honestly with oxbow You can add slightly less water and make it into more of a paste consistency then just wedge the tip of the oral syringe into his lips and paint his meal along his gums. You shouldn't be feeding more than .5-1 cc of a liquid diet at once. If you have to feed more than that as a meal, break it up. Otherwise you risk rupturing their intestines etc. And them vomiting. If you paint it along his gums it's less stressful and he will lick it and eat it. You may just have to leave the room.

Instead of pulling the skin under its chin try getting it drinking with a dripper and then slip the oxbow/meds in while it's mouth is opening and shutting while drinking. Try bringing the syringe up from the side so it won't notice it coming so easily.
