Forest lighting

may I ask how are you sorted if you don't have a solar meter? how do you know when to change out your bulbs? how do you know if they are getting too high uvb or too low uvb in one area?

I'm going to be losing around 10 inches of height unfortunately, as that's the recommended distance on the Arcadia website between the cam and the light.

listen here, I am going to try to explain this one last time:

with the 6% 5.0 arcadia linear uvb, it should be around 9 inches. your current cage is 30 inches tall. You have to saw off the 9 inches because typically thats the closest the cham should be exposed to the bulb.

So, unless you want to expose your cham to dangerously high uvb levels, it has to be 9 inches down.

Basically my point is your cham has very very very little space to climb.

The new cage is 120 inches tall! You know I'm upgrading to Reptibreeze xl

great! when will he be moving to his new home

Hopefully within 1week, got the cage. Just need the decor bigger plants new lighting etc. I thought you knew lol. No wonder you were getting angry!

Im hoping to phase out the crickets. I'm fed up with small ones escaping and sprouting wings a week or two later! There's one in my bedroom and we've tried everything to trap it inc molasses on a sticky sheet, along with roach traps. Sadly, all to no avail! I've ordered dubia and red runner roaches in there place. He hasn't touched the wax worms in three days! Can he cope without them?

Im sure you're happy for Figaro getting the taller cage.

That would be fine but the OP stated he has a 12% or 10.0... that requires at least 12” between the lamp and the Cham.
