Found a spotted salamander!!!

Hey guys! I found a spotted salamander!!! I'm gonna keep him for a bit idk how long but I'm going to replicate this wild environment so he won't be stunted when or if he's released.

He/she is sooooo cute!!!

I also found frog eggs near the place! They are bull frog eggs!! My dad wants to take a few to watch them grow and we will realease them too!

Upon further research those eggs may be salamander eggs!!!

Just be careful. Depending on your state, either herps or the spotted salamander may be protected

I wish I could go herping, but all there is around my city is tiger salamanders (very rare), wood frogs (really common), boreal chorus frogs (illegal), and western toads (also illegal). Not even any reptiles.

Yup thanks! I think there's a limit of 4-10 herps you can keep at a time

I think he’s also saying not only the amount of herps but the certain reptiles bc some are protected for conservation.
