Found out today that adult female Discoids also have large wings

Fed my boy what I thought was an adult male discoid this morning. Only to find quite a few tiny little white discoids come out of the roach after he chomped down on it a couple times. It was pretty disgusting lol. And the little ones were alive.

Here I was thinking they were sexually dimorphic

Yup. Both male and female have wings. Males have lighter bellies than the females. Crappy quality pic, but it may help.

Yup this confused me way back when I had orangeheads for the first time. I was like why do I have ALL males!

As for the above picture, a really easy way to tell with all roaches is males have an extra segment at the bottom close to their butt.

Thanks guys! Wish they looked different from the top down lol it's hard enough to grab those things from the bin in the first place. Gonna have to flip them over now
