Four Horned Cham?

So I just found this stunning picture of what is captioned to be a four horned chameleon. I'm new to owning chameleons and being interested in them, so I wasn't shocked that I hadn't heard of it before, but I've never seen anyone have a guy like this as a pet! Are they not commonly kept? Are they hard to take care of or rare or something? Sorry, just curious!

They are both rare and more difficult to care for. Take a look at that link but in short they are from Cameroon, which I am VERY SAD to say is closed now so there will be little to no more coming to the USA for years to come. If you get one you need to take very good care of them as their population will quickly start dwindling like the parsons or other illegal to import breeds. Care wise they only really need cool temps max of like 75 degrees F and high humidity with a minimum at 55% (Preferably 70%+)

Im actually buying one this weekend! They need a lot of humidity and misting. Most will be wild caught from what I have seen. As mentioned we will no longer be getting imports for who knows how long.

I don't think they are a difficult species to keep and breed. Their husbandry is similar to Jacksons, except they need more water. They are a bit more cryptic than Jacksons and most females seem more outgoing than males. The temperature requirements are similar to jacksons too, they can take occasional higher temperatures as long as they can get into shade and the humidity is high enough.
Check out my photo albums for quad pics.
