Freak Accident Part 2

Sleeping on Her Vines

I've been happy to see that Izzie over the last few days has been able to sleep on her vines and hold herself up with out falling over, this is the first time in a while she's been able to do so. :)

awe everytime I see her it brings a smile to my face. Bless her sweet little chameleon heart!:):) Glad she is doing so well!!!!!

I know, it brings a Smile to "ME" every day to! She's a very strong willed little cham. Every time I see her do something she wasnt able to do before or "a while ago", I literally jump up and down with excitement! I know, I know...a bit childish..but I just cant help myself! :)

Uggh but I hate myself for her tail.. :( you see the black on the tip? I accidently closed it in the door AHHH, I put it in for her when I put her back, then I closed the door and she whipped it back out! CRAP!

I did the same thing to my cham when I first got him and I FREAKED! My daughter came home from school and was like "what happened to his tail"?!! I was like OMG, she is gonna kill me (me and her are kinda coowners lol) ah....I have no idea! Then I finally broke down and told her and listened to her tell me how could I be so stupid, blah, blah, blah. After fretting for a few days, that it might fall off, it turned back to its normal color! yay! And life was good again!!!:)

haha yeah..I was hitting my head on the wall :/ this is the last thing she needs a broken/fallen off tail, but it's starting to lighten up and she can curl it up..so it must be okay!? :/ I hope so anyways..ekk

Seeing Izzie trying to eat the worms made me real happy. Shes lucky to have such a good owner to do all that she can for her. As for the tail it looks very bruised and hopefully it will pass and get its color back soon.

It's been a while since I've done any updates on Ms. Izzie girl...not much to say...I have yet to see her eat on her own, tomorrow I'm going to get her some horn worms to see if those will be easier for her to eat...But I do leave a large Dish of feeders in her cage for her to get to any time she wishes to, so there's a good chance she's gotten something from it. "I Hope" Over all though she's doing well I'm still giving her the Mylanta for her Edema she'll be done with it in a few days, and the edema has gone down considerably. Her strength is getting better still falls every now and then...but not nearly as much as she used to. I'll post her next major event when it happens! :)

Have a great Holiday Season Everyone!

Update

Hello All,

I thought I would post about Izzie, She's still hanging in there with me. It's been a long hard road for her, and still on going..Were now going on 5 months after her accident. Right now I'm working on a new approach to get her health back in order. I've Created a Time Line, I will give you guys an update in a months time to show you her progress from now untill then. But as of lately...Izzie is still drinking very well on her own, I have not seen her eat anything on her own, but I have noticed very small stool and urates in her cage. I have not fed her in quite a while hoping she would learn on her own...and since this did not happened, I have to step in and help her out "hints the time line" I'm doing on her. She's able to move about her cage normally, she's stronger than she was a couple months ago but still not 100%. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask!

I will give an update in a month!

I was wondering about her....good to hear that she is still carrying on! I wish she would break down and eat on her own though!

Izzie's Time Line is going well, she still has just over 2 weeks left of me monitoring her, but so far so good and things are looking up for this little girl. Once I'm done with this Time Line of her I will post all results which will be what I did for her each day, along with her activity and before and after pics of her...If you guys have any suggestons or ideas for anything let me know! I always like to try something new! Next update will be in a couple weeks!

Thank you so much for chronicling this for us. This does come up more often than I'd like to see and it will be so helpful to be able to refer owners to this thread in the future.

Plus, we all just really want to know how she's doing.
