As most of you are aware my chameleon loves to be out of his cage and sitting on a tree next to his cage. So what i did is had a vine from tree to his cage so he can move as he pleases.

Anyway someone mentioned its a bad idea beacuse i cannot montior how much time he spents out of his uva/uvb light.

So my question is will my chameleon go back into his cage to top up his uva/uvb and come back out.

If the door of the cage is always open, and he spends most of his time outside, i would get another UVB bulb for outside the cage.

Agree with above, if possible get another light or transfer the other light between the two places he's at most.
