Friday Show and Tail

Had about 2 seconds to spare this morning between putting chams outside, feeding dogs, catching loose crickets, etc etc, so I got in a few shots.

Introducing Ollie, CH (male) T.j. xantholophus from Xanthoman Hopefully this will be Harlie's betrothed.

Speaking of Harlie (notice the feminine spelling ) Here she is putting on her Christmas colors. The camera really didn't catch her green (looks gray here) with red stripping - Is that a smile I see?

Here is Dragon Lady from CA. Goodness gracious this little demon girl does NOT like to get misted. This is one tough little chameleon, she is not gentle and cute, she is more like a Komodo Dragon. These little T. hoe's have some attitude.

This is my outdoor setup. I have more photos of this in my Gallery.

Thanks guys. Yes CA stands for Chris not California. The little hoenhelli is quite the character.

Great collection! Again, it's nice to see someone focusing on species that aren't so typical. :D

She looks really good, Amy. Glad you are enjoying her. I always like when chameleons have a little bit of an attitude, I find it entertaining. These little guys definitely have spunk!

Looks great!

One note of warning on those mesh cages. I used to use those for sunning cages until I stuck a UVB meter in there. The UVB dropped to the level of a indoor UVB and in some cases less.

Ollie is going to be three months old in the next couple of days. I keep looking to see if "his" horns are growing. Harlie is a chunk now but zero horn growth.

I love my outdoor setup and wished I lived in a Southern state because of it. Now I got to figure how to transport that setup indoors due to Old Man Winter coming to town. Right now I am putting a tarp over the cages to reduce the morning condensation, I can't believe these guys sleep in 40 degree weather. The best part of it is the misting system. I can set the intervals and the length of mist throughout the day - sweet.
