Hi all this maybe the most stupid question yet!
I was unaware that it was ok to feed snails to my cham, so im thinking what else could they eat? my question is frogs????? I have a pond in my garden which is now full of spawn so in another 8 weeks or so i will have hundreds of the tiny little things jumping out of the pond for freedom they are only very small about 1-2cm, i read that pinkies were good for calcium and thought maybe the same would be true for frogs????

I would not feed your cham anything wild, especially something as dependent on it's environment as an amphibian. Frogs have very sensitive bodies that absorb whatever is in their surroundings. They also can carry many types of parasites in the wild. The snails that I was showing to be fed off were the captive born and grown babies of a wild caught "mother" and I was able to look at their waste under the microscope before feeding them off. I know what these snails have been exposed to and fed since their birth. It is quite different from going out and grabbing a few frogs out of the pond. You also don't know if the frogs are a protected species. Along with that, many amphibians are mildly toxic as a defense. Many, at the very least, taste horrible to provoke would-be attackers to spit them out.
