frost ate his first gecko!!

Thursday: some fat dubias, gutloaded with some stuff from McDonalds
Sunday: some Chicken McNuggets

How about using that 100 x 100 that Jay posted up a while back?

(if you didnt see it, it was a burger with 100 beef patties and 100 slices of cheese)

ya sang.. its west of mcclintock just south of university road.. right after the gateway apartments

....it's perfectly natural for them to eat small lizards in the wild. [...] Just don't feed it too often. I think once a week was the acceptable consensus.

I would suggest otherwise. I doubt there's consensus that this is something one should encourage at all, much less weekly. If I were using small lizards as feeders, it would be MUCH less often, perhaps twice a year.

damn. what a bunch of ignorants. if you aren't a specialized reptile vet you won't see anything when you look at the "poop"

When I said look at his poop I meant to make sure everything was digested as in NO BONES in it. I know that you are some Kind of cham expert and I think that you offer great advice but I really dont think that you need to make it out like everyone is dumb and OH MY GOD how could they have said that

There are many people here on the forums that agree or disagree with live feeders as a food choice some are even breeders so they obviously know what they are doing. I really dont feel it necessary for you to be so freaking rude to people that dont have the same exact opinion as you. What is up with people that feel it needed to be rude over the internet and call names anyways

Bones are a normal part of the "poop" of carnivors. They are not the problems, the little parasits are it.
I don't know why you think I'm an expert, I'm not even a "senior member" :p
Maybe you can imagine that it could be very hard to express your thoughts in a foreign language. Espacially when you want to make something clear and explain sth detalized.

I have no problem when sb else has other opinions, why should I ? I just give here some points why those feeders are not good for chameleons:
-pinkies are fat
-anoles, "house geckos" and other feeder reptiles are with very high probablility full of parasits.

The only reasons why some people have success with it is luck and much experience.

Here are so many threads where people sympathize with people who lost their chameleons because of avoidable reasons. And you two talking here about feeding those feeders as if there aren't any problems with it and that's just not understandable for me. Maybe my horizon too bordered

Hey guys, after doing some research, Bay the petstore you bought your feeders from, is arizona reptile and reef, it is ran/owned by jared. he is a former employee of pets inc, he has been arrested by the US fish and game law enforcement agency once for illegal importation, he is extremly shady and not the most honest guy. he was fired from pets inc for coming into work late, stoned and extremly unreliable character.

I would be cautious returning to his store for anything.

ya thats it.. arizona reptile and reef .... i went in there quite a bit because he was friendly, and he has superworms for a good price, but i was just checking the phoenix area to see what stores there were when i found him, but thanks i appreciate the research on that sang.. definitley will stay away from there

Very Brave of you to post that Sang. I hear many americans love a law suit. Slander/defamation of character comes to mind, true or otherwise. No shortages of lawyers I imagine. PM might've been better?
Whats this Jarod's member name here?
*Shrugs* Its gone off topic some methinks.

you know what, i got plenty of people that can verify the information given, i wouldn't post non factual information.

former employers, Fellow employees, police reports for importing non native illegal species into the states, police reports for possession of illegal native reptiles and so on.

I didnt say it wasnt true, just that posting it publicly is dodgy. I take it the bloke isnt a member here and cant speak up for himself? Thats a bit like kicking a bloke on the ground to my mind. *shrugs*
Better you than me. ..............Whats this thread about again? :)

Even if he was a member, id still say it, id say it to his face, id say it in his store in front of all his customers.

maybe wasn't appropriate to say it publicly on the forums, but i feel ever local AZ keeper has a right to know.

If I was you, I would really consider what you have posted!

Hearing it from a 3rd party and no documentation is all considered hearsay. It would be upon you to validate what you have stated is all true. If you can't prove it, then what JoJackson has said will ring true.

1. Former employers & fellow employees: Will not testify on your behalf, if it means losing their jobs or a potential lawsuit against them. For them to release private information as a termination, is a lawsuit begging to happen against the business/employer/employees. The only information they can release is that the former employee was terminated, if that. Without consent from said person, they cannot release any details.

2. So do you actually have the police/fish & game reports you have stated? Now if you do, was he convicted of the crimes that you are alleging he has committed? Those are strong allegations towards this person/business and I would highly doubt that if he was convicted of these felonies that they would allow him to continue with his pet business.

You may not care of the repercussion of a lawsuit on yourself, but you have posted on this PUBLIC board and that can bring trouble for CF. And no I am no lawyer, but I had to deal with this on another forum. Were I had to comply with the authorities to provide them copies of the posting and any information I had on the member.

So to keep within the original topic: If you are going to feed lizards to your chams on a regular basis, it would be wise to invest on a good microscope.

Might be a convenient way to cull a few excess/substandard/deformed captive progeny
if you had any, no parasite risk *shrug* Note I said 'convenient' not humane.
I think alot of breeders of multiple species might dispose of unwanted hatchlings in this manner (e.g. excess small species fed off to monitors/snakes etc) not nessesarily chameleons though. Waste not ,want not. Chams are not a species that normally eats alot of lizards though.
