Fruit Flies

I have heard a lot of great things about fruit flies but am curious about them! I have a baby chameleon that is about 3 weeks old. she does well with her small crickets but will not even humor the idea of eating a worm. my only concern with the fruit flies is them getting out when I spray her cage.

Loose fruit flies is like falling while playing soccer. It is just going to happen, no matter what. They won't live but a couple days is the good news. Bad news is you will constantly look to make sure that isn't a spider crawling on you. It will be a fruit fly. They don't escape too much from a screen cage, as they tend to flock to the light. I just mist a little less, but more frequently when they are in bigger numbers (i.e. multiple babies in one cage). They will aggravate the crickets, making them move more. That entices more strikes from your cham.
