Hello everybody :) This is my very first post in these forums (hooray!) I have a question, I am getting a baby veiled chameleon this week, and for now I am going to be storing it in a 65 gallon reptarium cage. But for when he grows up, will a 24x24x36" screen cage (not reptarium). If not, how about the 24x24x48" screen cage (again, not a reptarium)? Thanks so much, this is my very first chameleon, and I'm super excited :D

The 65 gallon reptarium is a good starter for a baby veiled. LLL reptile sell a complete set up with a baby veiled for 170.00 dollars. This will house him/her until about 7 months, then a 24x24x28 screen cage is perfect for adulthood. I personaly use the x-large zoomed reptibreeze, but there are many different types. Good luck with your new companion, and welcome to the forums! FYI, it's housing your chameleon, not storing!LOL!!

Is it a male or female? If it's a male a 48in cage is better. Remember that bigger is always better.

Ha! I didn't even realize I said store! :p I feel dumb,, lol, and that's funny you say that about LLLReptile, cuz that's actually the "starter kit" that i'm getting! ha, thanks for the answer!

Awsome. I'am not sure if you can request the sex of the animal. If so, I recommend a male. Females can be more complicated and to be honest, the whole egg binding thing just scares the bejesus out of me! Besides, males have awsome coloration and attitudes. Best of luck to both of you. LLL is great and will do right by you and your little one!
