Hi everyone, for months I have been researching about chameleons and I feel I am ready to purchase one now that I have come back from my vacation. In my area I will be needing a glass 18x18x24 terrarium. Can you guys please give me a full linked supplies list? I want to make sure everything I get is recommended and accurate for the new addition to my reptiles

I think it might work better to describe your "area" (your local climate, summer and winter temps, humidity levels, and where you expect to keep your cham's setup) and the species you want to buy. Otherwise we could spend a lot of time and effort trying to shop for you and still be wrong. You'll learn more by doing this research yourself. For a good start, check the forum sponsors list.

I live in New York Ciry next to the Hudson River. I live in an old building that gets really cold in the winter when temperatures reach as low as 32-0 degrees. Summers can go up to 90 degrees outside but my family keeps it around 60 f with air conditioning. My reptile room also has a normal temperature of 66F. I plan to be getting a baby blue bar ambilobe panther chameleon from LLLReptiles when the entire recommended cage and supplies are set up. Also I purchased an exo terra monsoon solo and breed my own crickets and hornworms for my other reptiles.

I dont have time to link every product I like, but I strongly suggest you purchase your cage items and lighting from www.chewy.com because I've noticed their prices tend to be cheaper than chain pet stores like petco or petsmart. Also in my opinion I would not support petco or petsmart because of the way they treat their chameleons or any animal there for that matter

I don't know why you got that tiny cage, waste of money IMO. Just start with the adult cage. I'd recommend looking into one of the forum breeders/sponsors. Monsoon is garbage unfortunately. I wouldnt use a fully glass terrarium in new york. I prefer the clearsided dragonstrands. Enough ventilation but also some solid sides to hold humidity.
