US Furcifer oustaleti babies

Many years ago I had a couple of furcifer oustaleti that were very unusual both in size and colouration…but could never find out anything about where they were from (locale). The male was absolutely huge and had a lot of dark brown markings that were not like any other one I had ever seen.

That sounds as though you had a Central Highlands Furcifer oustaleti. My two giant wild caught male Furcifer oustaleti Conan and Dolemite were that local of Furcifer oustaleti. They were absolutely huge specimens. That local is available. However pictures are not posted often.

Best Regards

Update- 7 fully hatched, 3 more with heads poking out of egg, and 3 more eggs that look close to hatching- plus several more yellow eggs with no signs of hatching- may be duds.

Out of the 7 that are fully hatched, it appears that 1-3 are females and 4 are males, but it’s incredibly difficult to know for sure. They’re a little more difficult to sex than panthers.

This is great! Congratulations. It’s rare to see anyone have any meaningful success with these.

Yeah, they just aren’t commonly bred these days. I guess the demand isn’t there maybe?
I enjoy their coloration, size, and generally chill personality. Although it really depends on the individual, but most I’ve kept are pretty calm, more so as adults.

They’re also incredibly hardy. More in line with veiled chameleons. Which makes them a good option for a beginner chameleon keeper.

But yeah, hoping these babies will go to homes where they will continue the blood line and the next generation of CB ousties!

Boom! Photo update!

Oh my gosh they are absolutely adorable! How are they doing? My female panther passed away today and I just opened this to casually browse. I have skimmed the post so forgive me if you've answered this but are they sexed? I may be interested in a male :)

So sorry about your female. I lost one of my males after he accidentally bit his own tongue off during a struggled with eating a roach. I hand fed him and watered him for a month after, but he ultimately passed away.
As for the babies, I believe I have 7 males and 6 females- I can put you on the list if you like, and I’ll be shipping out mid-to late January.
I’ll just need a valid email. I can’t promise you will get one, as I have many people on the waitlist, but if someone backs out, you’ll be contacted.
