I thought I would supply with some Furcifer pardalis habitat photos from my trip to Madagascar, the following pictures are all taken on the isle of Nosy Bè northwest of Madagascar. All photos are natural, and was taken as soon as the chameleons was spotted.
Furcifer pardalis is everywhere on Nosy Bè. 30 seconds after leaving the airport in a local taxi we spotted our first F.pardalis crossing the road.
On the 30 minute drive we saw 18 F.pardalis crossing the road, only males.
The next photos are taken on the walk to the national park of Lokobè Southeast of NosyBè.
To males sizing eachother.
This is typical Furcifer pardalis habitat. In cultivated open landscape.
We had no oberservations of Furcifer pardalis in old forest. Even though there was cultivated brush 50 meters outside of the dense forest, and lots of pardalis in this vegitation, we never saw F.pardalis in dense forest. Here the Brokesia sp. Calumma sp. was heavy present
