Monopoly is awesome, but it takes to freakin long! hahaha

I’m a nerd and so are all my friends. Geek is the new Chic you know. About once a month we have regular nerd game nights and lately the games of choice seem to be Settlers of Catan or Munchkin but we have done Diplomacy and Supremacy weekends. If you think Monopoly takes a long time I would avoid those last two.
Otherwise its PC games for me! I love Sid Meier’s Civilization in all its incarnations. I’ve been playing since its inception on the SNES in 1991 and in fact I still have the original SNES and Civilization cartridge. While I’m waiting for the release of the next Civ5 expansion next month I’ve been tooling about with Age of Empires Online and Skyrim.

Im the biggest Metal Gear fanboy there is. It is hands down the best video game ever created! After all the years of all the different games I have played, there has been nothing funner, more gripping, more well written, than the original MGS. I still put it in about once a week, religiously. I can roll through it in about 4hrs. I still have fun with it, even though the graphics are terrible. ;/ They were really great for their time though, I mean, it was released the same day as the first PS, and there were PS2 games that didnt look as good.
I also liked the first four Silent Hills a lot. Those were great.
Final Fantasy 7 and 9 were outstanding as well.
Ico was great for what it was.
Zelda of course is outstanding.
Im not really a pc gamer, but I love rollercoaster tycoon!
Half-life is great as well!
Spent lots of time on red alert back in the day.
Those are the main games that stand out in my mind atm. (not necessarily in that order)
I dont play much online anymore ;/ but I am on PSN as: David_Saladin
I play MW3 and BO, and MGO sometimes.
OH! Super Metroid. That game is second to MG in my book. Took me FOREVER to finish...

Surprisingly I've never played D&D or Warhammer or the like. We got together this past Saturday for some Catan and the subject was brought up about running a D&D game in June sometime. I'll give it a try mostly because it will get me out of the house and it's a cheap excuse to drink good scotch with friends but I have a feeling it ultimately won't be for me.

Actually we’ve got a good core group of funny people that like playing games and while we take it somewhat seriously (some of these longer games need some advanced planning) we aren’t over the top competitive. I’ll PM you with the D&D deets and location once we get it organized. I can almost guarantee that it won’t snow up here in June.

You generally need at least one person that can have fun, but responsibly monitor and control the tone of the game, to DM.
Thats who will be doing all the planning, and setting up mostly. ;/

well i can't wait for d3 to come out its going to be sick and i just seen images for the new gow and crysis 3 is going to be insane. I just watched the video play for d3 and it made me squirt!!!

Didn't get a beta copy though I'm having a huge nerd fest on release night of D3 ... we're all getting plastered and going to the midnight release, then having a lan in my garage. If anyone else decides to play D3 PM me your name and we can slay nerds together, in the name of Chameleons.

I played some XBox fps games for a bit (MW2 and Halo 3 & Reach) and holy crap is it difficult to switch from Mouse+keyboard to Controller ... Regardless of being in Amateur leagues for multiple fps games on PC, I sucked baaaaaad. So I'm back to PC Gaming hahaha

no effin around we need to get together and have a monopoly night. i use tiny godzilla figures i paid $15 a peice for off of ebay, i call mothra or king gidora.
be prepared to be destroyed. i prefer mega monopoly but mostly only because it confuses other players that dont know how monopoly works in the first place.
its so appropriate, with the buildings and skyscrapers.
i will so come play if yall can start a WoW pnp rpg. i dont know people nerdy enough to commit, plus i dont have the dice. and ive never done a DnD pnp format rpg but you wont meet anyone else that knows more about warcraft lore that me. (wow, is a different story) but i have all the warcraft rpg pnp books minus the crappy crappy latest one that tried to meld the mmorpg into a pnp game. its like "way to destroy creativity guys".
and seriously anyone active realid me [email protected] im on SC2 btw but i only really played through the campaign. speaking of which....DIABLO 3!
