Some Tokay are just different I suppose! Every Tokay I've seen was barky and bitey.

Yeah they are just scared is all. Before I got Sebastian I had wanted one but heard they were mean so I never did. I saw him in a petstore that had him housed with a baby water dragon in a tank lined with newspaper, one cork tube and a empty bowl that looked like it used to have water in it but it had dried out. I felt bad for him so I asked to buy him and the guy tried to talk me out of it. He said these are mean and nasty and he shoved his hand in a tank of adult tokays and poked them until they bit him and drew blood. He asked me if I was sure I wanted the baby and after that I was very upset and of course said yes. He grabbed Sebastian and he bit him on the finger and put him in a bag. When I got him home I gently coaxed him on my hand and he never once tried to bite me. He is tamer than my cresteds if ya wanna know the truth, lol!

i use to have a group of tokays and they were all pretty tame for what i have heard about them the breeder i got them from (NERD) said that they handle daily and they never had one bite. they are awsome geckos but ive noticed that they get stressed out quite easily.
