Getting cricket poop out of mesh cages!

I free range crickets in my chams mesh cage because I heard it can be good for them to get exercise and for many other reasons, but does anybody have an effective method of getting their poop out of the mesh? I want to keep his environment as clean as possible, but I also would not like to have to take apart and reconstruct his cage each week. I have scrubbed and scrubbed at the poop and I just can't seem to get it out! I have thought about resorting back to hand feeding for my chameleons, which won't be horrible because I only have a few and I still am amazed and fascinated with their eating method. Any help, input, constructive criticism would be awesome! PS: I am fairly new to herpetology and have been working with chams for 2 years now, but nobody who I have talked to seems to have an effective method other than sitting for hours and scrubbing away.

Spray a hose through it, if ou can get it outside do that.

if not, try just running a butt ton of water through it, and it should rinse away.

You shouldn't leave crickets in your cham's cage long enough for them to have pooh build up. Your cham should be fed enough crickets per day to maybe have one or two left over, but they should be removed to not nibble on him while he's sleeping. Also, any supplimentation you have dusted on the crickets is long gone by that point, and won't be effective. I agree on allowing the crickets to roam the cage - I do the same thing with my guys, but again, there shouldn't be enough crickets left over at the end of the night to build up poop.
