Getting Hot

So I live in the central valley california and it's been getting hot here during the day reaching around the 90s. Should I still turn on a basking bulb or should I just leave on the uvb light. I went to check on his basking temp earlier and it was really hot at 101 which is why I caught him chillin near the bottom.

definitely turn off the light if the basking spot is too hot, which at 101 is too hot. uvb bulb should stay on. could try increasing your misting in frequency and length to get the temp down a bit

Yeah, or set it on a timer to go off at the hours that aren't as hot, like morning and evenings.
