I had a problem of having my enclosure getting too hot at certain times during the summer and I solved the problem by putting my basking light on a timer so it goes on for about 30 min or more depending on the temps and then off a few times a day.

you dont need the basking light if the temp is 85 without it......the point of the basking light is to heat your cham, so ask yourself, why would you turn it on if the natural weather is already heating him?

Misting with tepid to cool water will lower the temp in the enclosure. A mesh cage will allow air movement. Do you have a fan you can put on low, pointing away from the cham but circulating air? Good luck with your temp problem.
