After keeping chams for a few years now, I am going to say that females have much better personalities, and female Veileds have the best. :)

These girls are Lauries-I hatched the first one and the next 2 are from FL Chams...

Man the males always have a mean side to them , is this the same for the females? they all look great. :D

When I say personality that can include meaner than snot! My female Veiled wanted to kill me at every moment.

All of my females four total are so angry and aggresive they lunge but my males are ok they hiss til you get them out then they're fine whats up with this females are more laidback than males ? I think female veileds are modern day monsters out for blood:eek:But then so are the female homosapiens i get mixed up with:eek:

I have always wanted a female veiled chameleon but never owned one as I think it is a shame they don't live nearly as long as the males and suffer more from problems such as retained eggs etc. I enjoy seeing other peoples as they are beautiful to look at.

Chamgirl; If you keep them cooler and only feed them every 2 to 3 days, you never have to deal with eggs. Check out this link below. Jann

I would have to agree, my male is just mellow, but my female on the other hand...get close to the cage and shes puffed up ready to brawl. I have had her for almost 5months and have not been able to handle her once. she wants nothing to do with people and lets them know whenever they are around.

My female is exactly like that too... anytime you're near here enclosure she darkens and puffs up... can't hold her at all and I've had her almost a year now. I think she has PMS 24/7/365!
