The Exoterra would be fine for a very small baby or a few pygmies, but everything else really should be in a better ventilated screen type cage.

HA HA !!! Got ya Kat77, NO ASTRO TURF will come with in a mile I my little guy ! Done deal and thank you for the info. 
Ok what makes the best substrate then ? just newspaper ? and every-time he poops, I put new in ? Then I will have to move all the branches vines etc every-time he poops ? As I do not want his food walking though poop then him eating it.
So I just got a bunch of stuff on order.

It should be here with in 3-4 days, which till then I will open a door for a few hours a day ( while I watch it VERY closely , and not leave the room with it open )

You don't really need any substrate at all, not even newspaper, but if you INSIST on something on the bottom of the cage, I would use paper towels, and put fresh ones in, probably every day. You don't need to sterilize the cage whenever he poops, just be sure that it is clean in there most of the time. Really, it's pretty much just as easy to pick his little poops up off of the cage bottom, but it sounds like you really want something in there!
