Glitter Polish

So apparently, Niji my baby panther does NOT like my silver glitter nail polish. I had him outside and he bit my fingernails three times!! He's never done that and it was just at my nails so I'm assuming he didn't like the color??!

I know parrots are sensitive to color and have their preferences so I guess now I have to be sensitive to what nail polish I'm wearing before I handle him. My other two could care less but I guess he's just being picky

absolutely! if I'm wearing a tie-dye t-shirt and go near my chams, most of the males start immediately gaping and puffing themselves up. once I forgot and was wearing a td bandana and I couldn't figure out why all my chams were getting riled up when I was at their cages, until I realized they were all looking at my head! even the non-receptive females were gaping and swaying.

about 10 years ago I had a nosy be male that we bred once. ever since he bred, he would always hump my girlfriends arm when she wore a specific muddy brown-pinkish sweatshirt. he never did that before the breeding. it was innocent, but he would often leave.....residue behind.

yours may have even just mistaken your nails for a glittery beetle or something. but bottom line, they are a very color-responsive species!

TELL ME ABOUT IT! My chameleon doesn't like it when I paint my nails black. He starts to fire up when he sees them. :/ Have to limit my colors now lol

My dragon bites my nails when I wear yellow polish. Ivy really isn't fond of high contrasts, which sucks when half my wardrobe is zebra-print!

I'm definitely going to be more aware now when I handle them. Sucks because most of my polishes are bright colors.
