I used to have a bunch of gnats in the kitchen last year. We used the apple cider and dish soap method. Just mix the two together, let it sit out, and the next day, the whole bowl is filled with them.
I also left about 1/4 of a Zima out under my desk for almost a month once. When I got around to cleaning it, the mixture was probably 25% Zima, and 75% gnats. It was gross, but it worked really good.

If the soap doesn't work I'll try the bowl method, then the nematodes.
