So far thanks to Trevor (Googlez) I have made the following logo:

e6zlmg.gif

(It's a .gif, transparent! :p)

Any input/suggestions, or even suggesting a new name is welcome.

Also looking for a free website builder besides webs that has fun templates etc.

Thanks everyone!

There's a lot of cool free sites just search around :D The synsational is a good one, nice job. I used to have a site on my webdesigns, I used freewebs but i dont know if you want to use it. Good luck.

Hehe, freewebs is webs. :p

I've used them too much in the past.. they are too expensive to switch over to a real website name afterwards.

:) man i am 3 for 3! Radiant Reptiles (cham website), Paws in Motion (dog walking business), and now Synsational (art website). I wonder if there is a specific area of marketing that deals with just names! lol i would be number one! Best of luck Sabrina hit me up on Live later and show me some of your rough drafts!

GoDaddy.com sells web names

I don't know what you are using to create your logo but you might want to go PNG instead of GIf. PNG will allow for transparent pixels so you will still keep the anti-aliasing (smoothing) between transparent and non-transparent areas of your logo.

The only downside to PNG is that it's transparent properties don't work on older browsers like the dreaded IE6. Only 13.6% of the population uses IE6 anymore so it would be nice if you would help to put the final nail in the coffin :)

@GoDaddy, I hate Godaddy. Worst customer support I've ever dealt with, sorry.

Wish I could do that. I just recently got CS3 and I really don't know how to do that yet.

from either illustrator or photoshop click on file>Save for web and devices (something like that) a dialogue with the image preview will pop up. From that on the right side there is a drop down that lets you pick file type (it's probably set to jpeg or gif). Select PNG 24 from drop down, and as long as you file doesn't have white background you should see the transparent background. Then click save.
