Going to make my own gutload...a little help!

I am going to try to make this today and with collard greens, apple, carrots, sweet potatos and my question is, do I need to boil or steam the veggies, I know to peel the fruit.....thanks for the help.
 
sweet potato needs to be boiled or baked alittle then processed with skin on, the rest is good to go raw. Might want to include some pumpkin or spaghetti squash since its in season.

The collard greens need to be steamed or blanched as well. They are from the cruciferous family and will bind up nutrients in the animal unless they are properly prepared.

true, to an extent goitrogenic properties are reduced by cooking. Oxalic acid isnt though. But in either case its only a problem if you are using these consistently/regularily (which you wouldnt do)
