Going to Repticon... some food advice

I am going to the Repticon in Baltimore this coming weekend and would like to get some different worms for my 2 Veileds. They are 6 months old and I know I want some Hornworms but am not sure what else I should get.

Any thoughts on what everyone else gives their chams, ones that are better then others. I am giving my chams crickets and superworms right now but want to have a good healthy variety for them.

Thanks!

You could definitely give silkworms a go. I love them but more importantly all my chams love them! Haha! I followed Pigglett's blog on breeding them. It's super easy. If you don't have the heebiejeebies too bad you can start a Dubia colony too. They are excellent and easy to gutload. I started mine with 15 females and 5 males with 100 babies and they have taken off. I keep them on a heat mat. They are for sure making babies. ;) Good luck! OH.. My gecko LOVES dubia too! :p

My veiled is 14 weeks and I feed him dubia, hornworms, silkworms, Phoenix worms(very high is calcium..do not need to dust), butter worms, praying mantis, grass hoppers all are great my veiled loves the horn and silkworms both of those are very high in moisture and help with hydration! I am working on breeding hornworms and will start doing dubia very soon!

Variety is key!!

I also have been looking into breeding hornworms. Waiting to be sure of what my guys like though.

Do you keep the hornworms in the plastic tub or have another way of keeping them? I have a cricket keeper for my crickets but my Chams just don't seem to interested in them. They go crazy for the worms.

Also how does everyone keep their Dubias? Could they be kept in a cricket keeper? Am I the only one creeped about bringing roaches into my house lol I know it is different but still :D

Thanks, as usual great info from everyone!

HaHa I never thought to give them to my gecko's! They always tear up the crickets and could care less about mealworms lol

Heebiejeebies has entered into my mind when thinking about the dubia but may give some a try since I am going to the show! Going to start doing research into colonies and breeding of the different worms! thanks
