Gonna be away for a while

my whole family is going on he trip, is there will be no one in the house

Gotcha! Sorry if you said that, I probably just overlooked it!

I agree with everyone here that you should optimally get a Mist King as soon as you can (they really make things SO much easier). However, since that's clearly not an option at this time I would just take some of the other advice offered here. Load up on food, just not crickets if avoidable. Make sure the dripper is as full as can be right before you leave. Do what @JoeDigiorgio suggested with the sponges in the water, this will help with humidity levels a lot. I wouldn't stress yourself out too much. Go your yoru vacation and just make sure to give him some extra TLC when you get home.

However, I did want to ask, do you have his lights on a timer? Again, if I glossed over this then sorry.

I would honestly be more concerned about that than anything. It is incredibly important for your Chameleon to have proper day/night cycles. Is there any way you can purchase a timer before you leave? They're about $10 - $15 at PetSmart I think.

They even sell analog timers at Home Depot very cheap.

also, if i bring him, during the car ride should i put a blanket or towel over his cage? i was thinking it might make it less stressful since he can't see anything.
Just give him plenty of cover, so he can hide. If the A/C is cranked up, i might cover him lightly. Just remember that they need a 12/12 day-night schedule.
