Alright so im losing my house and me and my gf are moving in to a apartment I have a 4-5 month old veiled who's doing awesome right now drinking eating the whole sha bang lol if I get him in to the new place and have all of his stuff set up that day he'll be ok right I know he may be stressed cause its gonna be a new place but other then that he will be ok right?

I also have a bearded dragon that's coming with me I know she will be fine lol she likes new places also loves going for car drives.

Any way I was just checking with u guys it won't be for another 3 weeks or so til the move so I still have tons of time.

I've seen some people here say they move their chameleons at night when they are asleep. I don't know if that's a workable idea for you, but I thought I'd toss it out.

I moved mine from Southern California to Montana. It took 2 1/2 days. Chams made it just fine. The less stress you are the less stressed they are. jmo

Also the night time move is a good idea but im pretty sure he would wake up he normally does when I turn on any light in his room

Moving from El Paso TX to Houston TX in November. Our truck will be full with my boy Ringo (9 month old veiled), Freckles (3 y/o beardie) Checkers (cornsnake), a dog and a cat. As well as my son, my husband, and me. Should be fun lol. Ringo has never been in the truck before though. Freckles has been but only likes to be in your lap for about 30min to a hour then he wants to run.

I prefer to move animals when they are awake , Nothing worse than waking up and not know where you are.. lol or what branch you are sleeping on. If I wake my veiled in the middle of his sleep, He goes ballistic.

Either way your chameleons will be just fine with the move. Some times they might need a few to get situated in new surroundings.

You might want to have special treats for him/her at the new place. Comfort food always makes scarey things better.

Stress is the worste but think of how much stress they go through being sent to the petstore or the poor WC chams. If your really worried I would do as mentioned earlier move him/her at night. good luck

Thanks guys another good thing is that our new house is gonna have a awesome huge window just for him

We did pretty much the same thing when my gf and I moved our female veiled to her place. Didn't seem to mind too much. Actually she seemed to thrive. I'm guessing maybe because the ladies liked being together. Should be fine. I did it so that by the time I put her in the cage is was bed time. She just passed out, and loved her new place the next day.
