Good and bad things happen.

So unfortunately Dav passed away due to stress from the medication + the parasite. I was actually quite emotional for some time, hence the absence.

BUT good news is always good and I have two new additions!

I purchased a small little baby yemens girl. She is doing wonderful! The store had her under a heat lamp and her face was a little burnt up but she was such a doll! Named her Rose and have been treating her with the up most respect. <3

Now... the good-ish news...

I have been obsessing over Meller's for a while, I purchased my big boy and now he is in. I named him Bo, and yes he does have a bulge or at least I can feel a bulge where there should be a bulge lol....

The bad news....

When he came in (today) his horn was almost completely broken off...
I called, I am nervous about having him go to the vets so soon being imported AND being shipped... but so far he seems to be doing fantastic. The area is looking nice and clean and he seems lively. Gorgeous colors, I do have to say.

The picture of Rose is when I first brought her home, she was sooo curious and had such a tight little grip! I knew regardless of the burns she was a healthy and tough little girl!

Those pics are of Bo before I set him in his tree for the day, been keeping an eye and the injury is definitely scabbed over now. I do have to say... my heart stopped beating when I saw the blood stains on his bag.

Oh he is just a wonderful addition, I never thought they would have as much personality as he does! He is just darling even with what happened. I might have found my new favorite breed!

Bo is a stud! My adult doesn't have a horn but he is still gorgeous to me I just love melleri such a great species. My favorite too

Congrats on your new additions! Little Rose is adorable and Bo looks like a fine big boy. I am so sorry to hear about Dav. I know that he has coccidia and it is highly contagious and just wanted to remind you to be sure to clean everything that he might have touched with 40 volume peroxide. I know you wouldn't want your new guys to come into contact with that. Keep us updated and post plenty of pictures.

trust me, I had a field day cleaning everything! I might have gone a bit overboard but that is how it is. Bo is actually in a temp area while his cage dries, so by tomorrow morning he will be nice and ready to start new! I'm working on plans on making a cage for him that will hopefully fit his needs to an extreme.

Big update on Bo, he drank for the first time today and is currently eye-balling his roaches wondering if it is time to nom yet or not. Nvm, as I said that he just shoves his face into a leaf near by and continues licking lol...

Thank you Jessica! I'm kinda curious what they meant by harem for chameleons... I guess I might have to pick up a few females and find Bo a job to afford the ladies eh?
