I lost my Chameleon today.
I had the cage in the back yard and noticed the wind it knocked over. The bottom of the cage was laying on the side and NO CHAM. The grass in my back yard was just cut and I have a fence around the entire yard. Where could he have gone to beats the hell out of me !! I had my Cham since August 30, 2011...

That sucks. Get a flashlight out once it gets dark and look for him that way. He should be a bright color and easier to spot this way. Good luck.

Sorry to hear...Don't lose hope!

Just recently i've heard a story of someones veiled getting out on the loose and he showed back up 4 months later!

As already mentioned, look for them at night w/ a flashlight if you have no luck during the day. Also they'll be pretty high up in the trees since they love to climb up.

Oh, dear! But we've seen some pretty spectacular chameleon returns here, even when the weather is not at all helpful. So, do not give up hope.

One thing I would do is leave the cage available to him, make sure there's a way to access it easily (pull a branch of a tree down to it or tie a rope around a tree branch and hang the bottom in the cage) and put food in the cage. Continue to set up the dripper too.

I had the same exact thing happen to me back in March. I've yet to find Maynard. I still look up in the trees every time I'm in the front and back yards... :( Good luck to you and don't give up!! Look high and low!!

If your chameleon is an adult male and you have access to a female it may help lure him... in addition to the other suggestions, putting some of his favorite food in the enclosure may encourage him to come eat when he gets hungry.

Good luck on finding him. A lot of people have been lucky and found their cham, I hope you are one of those. Try to get some friends over to help look for him at night. let us know how it goes.

The allure of the female is a great suggestion!!! If you don't know someone nearby who has a female you might check the local stores to see if they will "loan" you a female to use as bait.

hallelujah !!

I Found him the same day I thought I lost him for good.. My girlfriend found him along our fence.. camouflaged (Chamouflaged) with some rocks... move very slow..Thanks everyone for the support !!:D:D:D:D
