I am huge on maximizing space in my Herp room.
I use those silver metal racks that most of us use, I think they are a type of restaurant shelving? Anyway they are 4' long by 18" wide and you can adjust the height on them.
I have one of the Dragon Strand standard 36" breeder cages on top of a breeder box (another 12"). However if I place another like it on the same shelf I end up with wasted space.
So......
I had two custom cages built. Together they fit the remaining space nicely as the attached pictures show. This allows me to have one breeder cage with breeder box and two nice regular cages next to it on the same shelf. The cage on the bottom shelf is a custom one I built myself a long time back. Each cage has enough room for a single Quad. All are hooked up to my mist king. Have a dual repti-sun 5.0 fixture. Drain buckets are out of sight and under the shelves.
Using that foam sculpting trick of Bill's I was able to make some nice plant holders on dragon ledges in the custom cages. Very nice set up while making the most of my space.
Figured I'd share since if others are trying to figure out how to make the best use of that 4' this was a way that allowed for three cages to be placed on it. Bill Strand has the measurements still I'm sure if anybody was interested.
